Nanotale developers Fishing Cactus have revealed via Twitter that the typing-focused game will support controller inputs.
For some background, Nanotale is an action-RPG fantasy game in which the core gimmick has you defeating enemies by typing specific words which appear over their heads. How does a typing game translate into using a controller? How that’s actually going to look and work in-game? We have no idea yet. The game is currently in an Early Access period on Steam, and controller support doesn’t appear to be present on that platform just yet.
We do know that all Stadia games are required to support controllers, and this may be a simple matter of checking off those boxes, but will a typing game without a keyboard still be fun? I’m thinking no, but we’ll just have to wait and see.
