Hitman 3 is launching today and as some of you may know, this also means the Hitman 1 and 2 maps will look better too.
This is a promise IO Interactive made back when Hitman 1 released.
For every new game that releases, the maps of the older games will be included as well with all enhanced features and graphics.
Today IO Interactive has made an official Pre Launch guide with information about everything you need to know.
And it looks like carrying over progress and getting those maps will be extremely difficult.
For example, on Playstation you need to make sure those older games are installed, same goes for Xbox.
PC seems to be on a different level of inconvenience, Hitman 3 is only available on the Epic Games Store for now and because of this they don’t have a way to detect your steam installs. Because of this, you’ll need to either wait until they have found a way for this, or buy the access pass for Hitman 2 (Hitman 1 access pass is free for the first 10 days) with a 80% discount.
On Switch everything seems simple because, well, Hitman 3 is the first Hitman game on the Switch.
Stadia however, seems to be extremely complicated as well according to the official guide.
So to make it all easy for you and filter all Stadia information out, I’ll write my own guide on how you can access the Hitman 1 and 2 maps on Stadia.
Keep in mind that you need to own Hitman 1 and 2, otherwise you will not be able to play those with Hitman 3.
You’ll obviously also need to buy Hitman 3.
Please bear with me, because this is going to be one hell of a process:
- Go to stadia.com and open your library
- Launch Hitman 3
- Enjoy your automatically carried over progress and enhanced Hitman 1 and 2 maps
I hope this was all clear, and I can understand if this raises confusion.
So make sure to read through the guide a few times.
